I am looking for an input shaft for an 833 trans. 23 spline 25 tooth. Input shaft retainer is part number C94796 which I believe is the small bearing.

Chryco Psycho

they are specific to the matched countershaft , tooth count & pitch of the gear
I would start with Brewers or Passon

I deal with Brewers and they will take the time to insure you are ordering the right stuff too.

Another vote for Brewers...Wayne will have everything you need...I just got an internal reverse lever from them on Thursday... :bradsthumb:
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

I've dealt with Jamie Passon and would recommend giving him a call. He knows A833's.

I have dealt with both , both are very knowledgable & great to deal with , no favorite between them

I've had this one around for a while and I am not sure what it's out of.  it's a 23 spline with 18 Gear teeth. would that make it from a three speed trans ?

Thanks

walt1800

Yes it's the smaller retainer....4.3 I believe the 4.8 was used on the 18 spline for some 440's and the Hemi. The 25 spline with a 25 tooth gear was not used on many trans, most on small blocks in 70.  The 24 tooth was used more from 71 on,

This is from a 4.3 retainer, I think this is what you are talking about.

Yes that looks like the one if it is a 25 tooth gear
