Hey Folks,

I am looking for a 70 - 72 rear bumper for a cuda.

I am not looking for anything perfect, driver quality is fine, as long as its straight.

If any one in Southern Ontario or close by has one, I would certainly be interested.  I would prefer not to have to ship it.

Thanks,

Jason

Jas, what's the matter with the old one? Is it bent that bad? You're going to paint it, right? So why couldn't we straighten it or at least give it a try? Ian

Yup, bumpers are actually easier to straighten than sheetmetal.... It's thick enough that it doesn't stretch.....  We did a ton of work on bumpers for my Coronet, got them beautifully straight, used a file to find low spots & bumped the low areas up.... Finished them completely with a file... Then took them to the chrome shop & they "lost" them..... :verymad: Never got them back... Probably gonna put Keystone bumpers on the car & live with it.....

Hey Jason

I have a 1970 rear bumper from my Cuda that has been sitting in the garage for the past 10 years.   It's just the bumper with no hardware or guards.   It's in very good condition and price would be cheap.   Let me know what you think.

"Then took them to the chrome shop & they "lost" them."  that's about the spot where I'd've "lost" it, too!

Yeah I know you can usually straight them... I did a bunch of small spots on the bent bumper when I got it.

Its probably not bent that bad, but I am not sure it will ever be perfect.

@1 Wild R/T that would suck. I am not sure how I would deal with a shop loosing bumpers.
