@TWS  Why do you want 50 year old brake shoes? They don't get any better with age. We  Last year I had the lining come off the shoe and lock up the wheel. The tire got a flat spot when it skidded and it bent the backing plate which had to be replace. Couldn't get it straightened so it wouldn't rub the drum. I get the NOS restoration thing but...

It's the way I roll.

But duly noted, safety items are being excluded by more and more judging operations these days due to people getting seriously hurt driving their cars with old items.  Things like not having date coded tires and vintage brake hoses are no longer points deductions in some circles.
