Looking for the tach that fits standard dash, some wear is OK as long as it works. Thanks!

I am guessing for a Cuda. The 70 Challenger one is different, in case you need to know.

Actually it won't matter - I plan to mount the indiglo face over the gauge, so either cuda or challenger would work.

The standard dash never had a tach from the factory. The rally dashes had the tach. There are aftermarket tachometers made to fit the standard dash, and I believe they are still available.

Thanks for the reply. The tach was optional (maybe a rare option?) with standard dash, installed at fartherst right gauge opening.

Fastmark

That far right hole had a clock option. That is all I've seen in there.

Blank, clock, or tach were the choices for the last slot on the right. Classic and Herb's sells repro units, temporarily out of stock.

I agree with the others here, there never was an optional tach in a ebody standard dash. The Classic & Herb's ones are aftermarket, not reproductions, you can't reproduce something that never existed. My 70 - 71 Parts book (see picture) only shows one part number for a tach and that's "w/Rallye Inst. Panel". Can someone prove me wrong with an option code or factory part number, I doubt it.

Thanks Jaybee. I've heard/read often that the tach was an option so your picture comes as a surprise. The tach is tailor-made for this application, but I can't explain it's absence from the manual. Could it be a '72 and later option?

Here's a snap shot of the 74 Barracuda factory wiring diagram. It specifically states Ralleye cluster only.

Interesting! Thanks guys for the education.
