Let me know what you have
Thanks

Mr Cuda

Got you covered.
Was just going to post some latches,  releases,  safety catches.
I'll check dates.

Moparmade

Great
Who you like to get parts replated ?

Mr Cuda

How early do small parts get made before  being installed?
Trying to correct my sins of youth by checking dates on parts to put back on vehicles.
You want August part date ot August production build date?
I need to count the days for a 10/70 and a 12/70 build and see how  close any are.

Moparmade

Well trying to figure codes out to .
Its a four digit code examples
My radiator is 2080 hood release lever is 2110
So something with first digit with a 2 and 0 at the end

anlauto

Most parts are within 90 days BEFORE your scheduled production date....

If his hood release lever is 211 0 , you could figure that the secondary catch would be very close to that.

SSM Restoration in Quebec is the only company with the correct brownish plating for the latches in my opinion :alan2cents:

Mr Cuda

So Alan, is SSM's brown coating a paint or electrolysis etch?
I've been experimenting with an acid wash translucent coating,  tinted brown.  Very thin, no film to scratch off.

Those small parts must be made in big batches.  I'm  finding multiple hooks made on the same day then, big gaps.
2409, 0080, 1970, 2260, etc

anlauto

It's not paint, it's plated or etched, whatever you call it....the time is spent in a lot of prep work. They are taken all apart and reassembled with new rivets etc...top notch work.

Big batches for latches makes sense... :drinkingbud:

Mr cuda if you have a 2260 hood latch I think
That be close to what I need

Mr Cuda

226 would be made mid August, not possible for a August build. So maybe something earlier would be better.
197 would be 30 days prior, so made mid July.

Moparmade

Mr cuda the cuda door vin sticker is 11/70
And the data fender tag is B06 and the parts
Four digit code are dancing around starting with 2

anlauto

August is kinda early for a November built car....90 days prior to B09 puts you at 220 0 you want something between 220 0 and 300 0
