961 has a narrower bottom tank. Not all 26" rads are created equal  :alan2cents:

Maybe a pin ? @Cuda Cody

Was the 974 used in B bodies too?  And didn't it come with a fat and thin font?

Are you thinking this would be easy to search for on the forum and a pin not not needed?  Any more thoughts?

Sorry for the confusion. I didn't know what Alan meant by pin. I thought it was part of his answer to my question about the difference between the two 26" radiators. I'm used to the term "sticky".  :sorry:

Pretty sure I remember seeing a 3rd version of the 2998974 that had a tag number on it too?

anlauto

I wonder if that was because of different vendors ?

Does anyone have any background on radiators that had a different number attached over the original tank number?? I have two, and heard this was done while on the line, but what was the reason and any other info related to it. thanks guys. Unable to get a picture  of one at the moment, but I am sure Alan and Cody have seen them.  :thankyou:
