Welcome @jeffrt1970  to the site.   :welcome:  There's not a perfect answer to the question since there is not detailed info available.  But @6bblgt  is the best guy to ask.  He might be able to give you an idea about how many EF8 Challengers there were in 1970.

Welcome to the site from Panama !!
F8 was quite popular so There should be a fair # built especially with the N code 383 / 727 combination

1 Wild R/T

Well there was a time when 70% of all E bodies were EF8

And they built 6014 383 Magnum 727 Auto Challengers.....

But now most of them are painted Plum Crazy or Sublime.......

#4
1970 Challenger R/T hardtop - JS23

14,889 total built for USA (Y05), Canada (Y07) and Export (Y09)

the numbers out there represent the majority, 13,668 of the 13,796 built for USA
EF8 was chosen ~6.8% of the time 929 (+/-7) on the JS23

EF8 "dark green metallic" was the 7th most popular color (of 20 choices), FC7 "plum crazy" was most popular at >3,000 cars

I haven't seen any numbers for CANADA or EXPORT spec. cars

:welcome: @jeffrt1970 ..... double check your fender tag decode  :takealook:

the top line - "Y0Z" should be "Y07"
your stripe code - should be either "V6X" or "V9X"

check it from the backside, it's sometimes easier to read
