My Car was sandblasted so the factory markings were eliminated completely. Can anyone tell me what is the markings in top of the rear end carrier. Looks like white paint and hand painted letters from pics I've discovered on line. Is the letter an "A" and I can't make out the other.
Another question  on the carrier is just where or what bolt does the limited slip take attach.
Thanks

No two cars are identical...Common marks include the three digit code on the left tube, the gear ration color coding on the bottom of the pumpkin, the housing sometimes has a "E" for E Body, an assembly date etc...

E Bodies 8 3/4 rear axle assemblies never had a "sure grip" tag....they only had the axle ratio tag, which could be found on any stud/nut just about. The AAR  I'm currently taking apart has it in the 2 o'clock position. :dunno:
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....
