Really hard to say w/o pictures, but seems like a lot for something that will need at least $15k USD in paint/body work.

If you were to get a '72+ car, it should be a 340/360 car.  Preferably with a four-speed and a cool color (like black!).

Best to buy a nice $40k '72+ 340/360 car than $20k on a 318 turd that will need resto.
