340 pistons and rods

Are these piston rods worth anything? I have a set of 8 just sitting in my shop. I believe they are from a 1970 340. Would anyone reuse them?

IMO, nothing more than scrap price. Yes, the rods can be reconditioned and may be okay, but the pistons are likely junk. The cost of reconditioning these, which have visible rust, could exceed the cost of purchasing a modern rod set. If your spending thousands rebuilding an engine, why risk its life to old parts. Concourse inspections do not include internal engine parts, so there is no huge advantage to reusing these.
