This seems way overpriced to me but what do you think it is really worth?
My only interest is that it is only 2 miles down the freeway from me and has the Wow factor.

People see crate engine prices for a Stroked Hemi and base their "what it should be price"
They are in my opinion, poorly cogged together parts with hidden issues ready to bite your Butt off.
Add alot more and getting to $30K is within reach.

It may be a little high, but these are very expensive engines to build correctly.

If you really want to see what something like this is cost wise; I would call a few places and ask what they typically sell for.

Well built stroked Hemi's under $25K?...Not common.

I think that is high for what is there. That guy usually has hemi bits for sale on Ebay, generally for 2-3X regular retail. I would want written proof those old cast parts were magnafluxed and measurements on the crankshaft, cylinder bores etc. Early Hemi blocks had problems with the main saddles cracking.
As to value, I Think the crossram is worth $2k at the very top, carbs I'm not sure but I would want Holley 4235,4236 anyway. Then a questionable build with a camshaft that idles at 1300RPM, this engine maybe makes 550HP. If the bores measure .060 over and the crank is a .030, .030 this isn't even a good core. So after measuring everything and it was all usable maybe $15k for everything but I think more like $10k would be fair.
I personally don't use used Hemi parts anymore, especially off Ebay. I remember messing around with repairing aluminum heads, dealing with used up cranks etc. and it just isn't worth it.

I guess it's the difference between "Classic" prices and Modern. Something like what @Topcat was alluding to.
Something like a $150,000.00 '71 Hemi Cuda and a $60,000.00 '18 Dodge "Hemi" Challenger which would technologically and safety wise be light years ahead but not commanding that kind of cost????
