I think this is for a 70 e-body, WIW?

PG Classics manufactures a nice reproduction of the 1970 vented type for $59 USD so I imagine people wanting original parts would pay that much if yours is in like new condition  :dunno:

I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

So if a 70' car had CA. emissions, wouldn't it have a non vented cap?

@Topcat  Good question!  :popcorn:

Thanks,

@Floorit426 is restoring his car back to having it's original ECS again.
So I'm curious what others have experienced on this situation.

My 1970 ECS car has a non vented gas cap. It says "pressure vacuum". I'm pretty certain that it is original to the car.

Learned something I did not know before.  :thinking: That dose make sense.   :bigthumb:

The WIW cap is not an original factory ebody gas cap. In 1970 all except CA cars said Vented Antisurge. 1970 CA caps said Pressure Vacuum and these caps were on all 1971 ebodys.

Thx for the replies and education, I guess that makes it worthless.

Does anyone restore these?
