Hey all- question for the group - I have all of the take offs from my car and am wondering what to do with it all?

For example, old gas tank, 3" custom exhaust, headers, radiator etc.

I dont think any of it is worth much, but I hate just throwing stuff away - does anyone think there is any market for any of this stuff or should I just toss it?  I am not really looking to sell, just looking to not add to the landfill

I figure it is probably trash, especially as it is all big items - any thoughts?  I dont want to store stuff that is of no value to anyone
You can't buy happiness, but you can buy horsepower and that's kind of the same thing.....

If you decide the parts aren't worth selling, post them for 'free' on Facebook and/or put them at the end of your driveway and post a "Curb Alert". I'm surprised at the 'stuff' people will take for free

I feel your pain, I'm in same boat.
I have stuff saved from 30yrs, always thinking I might use it later.
I'm at a point where it's going in the garbage.
Even the small stuff that does have some value, it's just not worth the effort to try and sell.
It's a shame, but it's time to clean up.

I would think you could find someone interested in all of that stuff for the right price.

Someone could probably use most of that stuff, if not post it for free and the scrappers will scoop it up to recycle it.

going to try on CL and FB Marketplace - problem is I have to move it out of my buddy's shop - and I have no where to store it, so might end up in the trash - hopefully can find a quick taker

Anyone in CA interested then come take it!

Big block radiator, headers, gas tank, exhaust with mufflers....

That sucks.  I'd take most of it if I were close.

Radiator shroud, radiator, big block motor?  Clutch fan, gas tank!
I have purchased and had shipped a "new" gas tank, a recored radiator, a clutch fan and a radiator shroud.

Had to pay healthy as well since I "needed" them at that moment.
Very unfortunate they will be trashed.

I have friends that accumulate metal and take it to metal recyclers. They give $/lb.

Question re: the gas tank - not sure if it is original or not - is there a way to tell?  If it is, is it worth restoring vs. aftermarket replacement?  There aren't any real issues from what we could tell.

Also not sure on the shroud if it is correct or not, and I don't see any stamps or markings on the radiator so assuming it is a replacement

If you were closer, I'd take most of that stuff off your hands.

Don't throw it out. Thanks to inflation and tariffs, it all has value. If you are patient, you may have a few thousand dollars' worth of stuff. If you want to clear it out fast, you can list it at fire sale prices.  But I also get the hassle it is to deal with lookie loos, tire kickers, and time-wasting bozos with no intent to buy. A free to come pick it up list will have that stuff gone within a day.
