Borgeson used to have QA issues in the past, I dug through some old posts. Wander if they are back. The box is at my son's house so I can't check it yet. The brackets are welded on if I remember correctly. Now I'll have to check how the box aligns with the steering column. We do have the Bergman coupling, just in case we have to go to stock steering and avoid cutting the steering shaft.

My advice is when you go to tighten everything up, do it evenly as if you're installing a wheel..

Get it snugged down evenly and it should be fine.

I ended up just drilling out the threads and using a longer bolt and some washers to keep the bolt from bottoming out..
I'm good with it...     It's not my preferred method, but its secure and that's all I'm worried about.

Check the holes with a bolt all the way through before doing anything..
I had welding slag on the inner threads and some powdercoating in them..
That's what pulled my threads..

Why are the washers on the outside?
If it doesn't lay flat, wouldn't you want them between the box and mounting surface?

hardware store had a bolt that wasn't quite long enough and one a hair too long and the bolt will bottom out on a section of the crossmember.
So I had to space the bolt out just enough to clear from bottoming out..
