Purchased a 70 Barracuda with a Unisteer R&P Setup in it.  I would like to ditch and go back to the stock steering setup.  Has anyone done this before or have a basic rundown of parts?  It was a PS car and I am currently running a 8 rib serpentine GM Pump which I will have to retain.  TIA

do you have a front or rear steer rack ?
what are you using for a crossmember ?
You might need
- K frame
- Steering box , I would use a upgraded Firm Feel or Steer & Gear box
- center link
- idler& pitman arms
- Inner & outer tie rods + the sleeves , C body fits & is bigger / stronger , virtually the same price .
- lower ball joints as they have the arm for the tie rod to connect to
- possibly spindles also

I've got a K frame and complete drum brake front suspension from a 70 Barracuda I would sell you pretty cheap.  Would include a manual steering box, drag link and rod ends, upper and lower control arms, thrust rods, spindles and brake assemblies.  Essentially the whole thing as it came out of the car.  Most of the parts would be usable for you but the ball joints and rubber are probably due for replacement and everything needs a good bath.  I get back to the St. Louis area a couple times a year and could meet up in November when we are deer hunting to save shipping.  Let me know if you are interested.

It is the Unisteer "bolt in" kit with factory cross member

Never having installed one I will have to educate myself on how they work , they should be a rear steer so steering box , idler & pitman arm &  tie rods & sleeves should be all you need

your steering column must have been modified also

Just curious as to why you want to switch back?

How well does the current Unisteer work?
