I had some brake issues a few months back. I drained the whole system,  checked and tightened all fittings and cleaned out the proportioning.  Brakes work very good now but the brake light on the dash won't go off. I pulled the plug on the proportioning valve and it goes off. Do you think there is an air bubble trapped in the valve?  How would I resolve this ?

in my '73 service manual there is reference to what I call stomping on the brake pedal to reset the switch.... I did & it worked for me

Worked for me as well.
