I've been a member ~six months and am surprised psvintagewheels.com has not been mentioned. The owner Phil Schmidt made a pair a set of four GT40 wheels 17" x 8" for my 68 GT500 resto mod. PSengineering has made wheels for Carol Shelby's ac cobras for 20+ years. He also makes authentic T/A-II wheels (mini-lites ). Wheels can be ordered 4-lug, 5 lug, or knock off hub adaptors. Not cheap but second to none. Here's a photo of a GT40  wheel he made for me.

Phil retired a few years ago.

Product line seemed to disappear for a few years, but looks like vintage wheel works picked it up:

Thanks for the update! My Challenger came with new Cragar SS wheels and BFG tires. I purchased AR five-spoke two-piece custom wheels for it. Decided I don't like them either and will probably go with PSengineering  T/A-II 17" (mini-lites). It has been a few years since I dealt with PS. I may go with knock off  hubs and adaptors with spinners, to be different. Need to get a quote and find out how much addt'l bs with the knock off hub adaptors. PSengineering is the company that made the wheels for Eleanor in the movie "Gone in Sixty Seconds".

I've looked into Vintage Wheel Works before, but their straight spoke design of the Minilite doesn't quite do it for me.  They also don't offer real knock offs. They have a knock off cap.

PSEngineering seems affiliated with Vintage Wheel Works, but offers a slightly different line. Their TA wheels seem okay.  They don't quite seem right, but I can put my finger on the difference. http://psvintagewheels.com/

Are you looking at the 17" rim pics or the 15" rim pics. The 17's are proportioned different to account for the 17" rim casing. That tweaks the look some.

I don't think there's a decent 15" pic on that web page.
