Help identifying these axles

Quick story is I narrowed my 8.75 housing to 68-70 b-body specs for my 70 Cuda. I am also using the 1" offset spring kit. I traded a local guy who said he had 68 b body axles for my E body axles....but something doesn't seem right.  My  wheels are pushed out a good inch from where they should be.

The only thing I can come up with is something is off with these axles....but I'm not sure.  They go in and seat fine in the housing.  They measure 60.5" from outside of the axle flange to axle flange....not sure what that dim should be for B body axle.  Couldn't find it online or what a stock Ebody dim. should be.

They measure 2.5" from the housing flange to the inside of the axle flange.

Can anyone tell me if this looks correct or if something looks off?

Can anyone tell me what dimension a stock E body or B body 8.75 is from axle flange to axle flange?

I really appreciate the help, Wayne

Thanks for the help.  Dim. A is housing flange which I know and am good on.  The axle flange is what I am trying to find.  Or correct flange to flange dim.

Mr Cuda

E body flange to flange is 60.2"
B body flange to flange is 59.2 for 68-70 only.
pictures of your axles won't compare well because you have green bearings
Measurements are always subject to with or without drums.

I posted the picture for reference as I think that measurement "gap" is too big on these axles for whatever reason.

here is a B body axle that I replaced the bearings on. It looks like your bearings aren't pressed on far enough.

That is helpful and shows that I am roughly .75" to 1" larger gap.... but I did press the bearing all the way up to the radius of the shoulder of "this" axle

here is a pic of a new axle from Dr diff.

Ok, that helps too.  Seems to match mine as well.  I talked to Cass / Dr. Diff. and he said it should be 2.4" from the snap ring to the outside of the axle flange.  Which i'm pretty close.  Maybe the bearing could be pressed a little further.... .100 or less.  I'll take a look

So I guess these axles are fine lol
