So, I just got my 'cuda to the point where I can road test it, after having the engine, suspension, and steering column out. Everything seems great, except for one thing. I goofed up and the steering wheel is 180 degrees out. Is it just a matter of backing off the coupler and rotating it 180? I gotta say, this makes me feel pretty silly.

Might be easier to just pull the wheel off the column and spin it 180?  :dunno:

The wheel and the crush can are keyed and are supposed to go on only one way

You have it figured out. You missed seeing the tiny notch in the coupler I bet.

If you did not force any of the splines together then what you did was install the coupler 180 out. Take the greased joint apart and turn them 180.

Yep, easy fix.
Mistake can happen very easily if you install column w/o steering wheel, crash can index notch must be in correct position.
Notch in a coupler is just for the steering box splines.
Repro coupler is not notched.

I feel the pain.

Did it myself on my first start up.  :bricks:
