They look like superlite out of Australia. I have them in 15"   I have since then gone to an 18" version to get good rubber.

Minilite, Panasport, Superlite...there are a few brand names. They all originated from sports car racing in Europe.

They make the minilite and rallye wheels in 17", does anyone make the cop car steelies in a bigger size than 15"?

I'e seen some custom made ones here and there, but  have not seen them as a catalog item. I'd bet they would be somewhere around 30+ pounds each.

For reference...

These are 15x9 4.25" backspacing conical seat Optima minilite like rims.

These are extremely like the Western Rims sold before them. I personally believe they are made from hebsame molds. Both Western and Optima where in South Los Angeles and I think there is a connection between the companies. But the Optima's have conical seats. The Western's where unilug.

RUNCHARGER

Shelby marketed some wheels like that as well in the 1980 timeframe.

The Shelby and Western are very close. I don't think Shelby owned his own rim company. I'd think his rims were private label made by someone else.

I think the molds from those were used by the Optima's I have.
