How far up does the nut for the steering box pitman arm go up the shaft. How much of the shaft is showing when the nut is tight. It is a power steering box.I think the torque is 120.I am building the suspension on the K frame out of the car.It is a pain because I need someone to stand on the K frame in order to torque it.

The torque spec on the pitman arm for 70 Challenger with power steering is 175 ft lbs according to the service manual.  For a manual box, the spec is 120 ft lbs.

Maybe this will help. They may look different and go on more or less using various pitman arms.
