I'm way too slowly making progress on getting my brake system fully functional.  I received new brake lines from sstubes.  Regarding the fittings at each rear wheel cylinder, I thought I'd read the original fittings had a larger shoulder area for the wrench compared to aftermarket offerings but haven't been able to confirm.  Can anyone confirm which is correct or is this a case where either could be correct?  The attached pics shows my old, cracked brake line on top and the new line on the bottom.  Also, IF my old brake line fitting is correct, what material is it mad of?

Thank you

Mr Cuda

You have the correct fitting on your original.
They are steel, with a very light wash coating. It was very clear.
As to what? I don't know.

Thank for taking time the to confirm and the additional info @Mr Cuda.  I did some googling and didn't come across any fittings that were close to the same dimensions in steel.  Any opinions or concerns with reusing the original steel fittings?
