I overkilled it. I'm using 7/16" bolts, grade eight. There will be a locking nut to allow a tiny bit of room for rubber movement but shouldn't ever tighten or loosen up on me. One would probably be sufficient for my needs but I figured I'd just do two.

I bought the mag mounts from Mancini and installed a few years ago. Held up to my 440 and 4 gear so far? Just FYI.

It appears the Mag mount just replaces the stud with a flat head through bolt and eliminated the stud on the underside?

If I'm thinking correctly, I could mill off the stud, flip the mount around and cut off and drill through the center of the old stud, countersink the hole on the bottom side.  Insert a 1/2" x 2 1/4 flathead and tighten with an allen wrench on the bolt head.  This way I dont' have to modify the other side of the bracket?  That stud goes into a big slot on the k-frame so I think it is not needed?  Am I missing anything or over thinking it?
