I had a hell of a time on mine as well.

Turned out there was a small ridge right near the edge of the end of the T bar.

Took a grinding tool and carefully removed it and made it flat and she came right out.

Updated: Eff that torsion bar. Wailed on the LCA with a hammer and plate clamped on it, heated until it wax red, then quickly cooled it. Still gouged the hell out of it and didn't get the bar out... Looked up eBay and saw a LCA for 100 dollars so figured I'd save myself the trouble.

I hope the LCA Has the sway bar bracket on it otherwise you will be welding the one from the old arm on

Probably late response here, but if you could get the pivot shaft out, you could insert a drift on the back side of the torsion bar and drive it out. Or you could put it in a press and push it out.
