I am looking at getting some weld wheels that are 15 x 10 with 6 inch backspacing. Is anybody using spacers on the rear tires do they hold up because I wanna do smoky burnouts? Also have an interest in getting the B body rear .

I have wheel spacers that I'll give you but I took them off my vehicle for a reason.

Avoid anything cast.   6061 or 7075 turned on a lathe is ideal.  If you get 7075 billet lathe turned spacers, your wheels will fail before the spacers.

Keep in mind if you move your wheels outward, you can put additional loading on your axle bearings and may wear those out prematurely.  But, it's no different if you use a quality spacer or a wheel with a crazy offset or backspacing.

Filthy Filbert. Big difference ! Using any type of spacer effectively shortens the length of the wheel stud.
This will cause the stud to stretch at the base when torqued and there is not enough thread engagement with the lugs to safely hold the wheel.  Spacers of any type , whether they be precision machined or just washers are only, always used to take up space because a part does not properly fit.
Always beware of trying to make something go where it wasn't designed to go.
Get the proper wheels. Use high quality studs of the proper length. Ang quality lugs. In fact tracks require open ended lugs to make sure you have enough thread engagement to be safe.
You wouldn't use washers or cheap nuts on a connecting rod would you ?

It's assumed that one isn't dumb enough to put a 1.5" spacer on their car and not get longer whee studs of the appropriate strength.

That's a totally different discussion than the question being asked, and I stand by what I said.   Avoid cast spacers, use quality materials, and you will be fine—keeping in mind how you change the way loading is applied to things like wheel bearings; and yes, wheel studs.  Along with everything else in the suspension... ball joints, steering linkage, etc.

Well I would need a 1 inch spacer to get the 5 inch back spacing.so I was looking at something like these. They are hub Centric Spacers.

That's not a spacer,  it's an adapter.
Hub centric adapters work great. Buy a quality piece,  you will have no issues. I have 1 inch adapters on the front of my car.
I would and have run spacers up to a quarter inch

Agree with @Filthy Filbert , 7075 machined adapters is what I have (maybe 6061..memory fading...). They have been bullet proof. However, an aquaintance bought from a lesser known supplier and the lugs of the adapter spun when torquing on the wheels. But hey, they were cheap..lol Think he paid $69

Everybody should know by now that you should never assume how "dumb" or ignorant some people are. Ignorance is just a lack of knowledge. Dumb is knowing better and doing it anyway... Many, many people have used spacers and not thought about stud/lug nut engagement. Spacers are not adapters.

It's ok.  We know by your posts how dumb you think everyone else is.

Not necessarily dumb, they just don't know.. Read a few hundred different posts and you will see that. Work with the public for over 40 years and you can't help but see it. Never assume the knowledge level of anyone.
