I suppose....I'm just glad that though the years of doing this I've worked with some great body shops that have turned cars out at a reasonable rate and I've never encountered the "body shop jail" horror stories I hear so many deal with... :fingerscrossed:

Metal work all buttoned up, now on to the body and paint work, already well underway... :)
However I was told today they want a new door skin for the DS :pullinghair:

A while back we had a member selling a Hemicuda accused of "lying about his tires" .....I like the idea so much I thought I would lie about mine as well... :foul:
:D
These 17" PolyGlas GT's never look so good :ohyeah: ......Oops I mean these NITTO NT555's

Cool, What paint did you use? How did you prep the surface?

Bullitt-

Seems to me the letters are crowded together especially the gooodyear

Oh, I'm sorry Brad, I didn't read your link....I bought mine from the same company, but I bought their stick on letters, NOT  their paint stencils .

You're 100% correct....I asked them to make the letters the correct size, but I never thought of the spacing when I ordered them....You can buy them as individual letters and do your own lay-out, but being my first time I chose to have them do the lay-out with the radius figured out etc...I really didn't notice the spacing until you pointed it out  :worship: :drinkingbud:

...but at the end of the day....it's not like anybody is going to believe they are original 17" PolyGlas tires :haha: :haha:

"asked them to make the letters the correct size, the spacing when I ordered them, chose to have them do the lay-out"

Alan, I looked at the website but couldn't find the ones like yours. I would be interested in talking with someone there
about a stencil, IF they were interested in producing one with the (close to) correct (1970 style) letters and spacing.
Would you know who I should contact?

I just picked up the phone and called the number on their website, super friendly and helpful guy...The ones I used are NOT stencils but thin rubber letters you glue on ...watch the videos and you'll get the idea...

So....unlike the video above, the ones I bought were already on the clear transfer paper...but if they weren't, then one could easily adjust the spacing... :alan2cents:

For me the idea behind it was just for fun, I don't think the purpose is to try and duplicate PolyGlas tires so accurately that nobody can tell the difference.. :foul:
