70 Challenger Lover

I was just thinking the same thing...how did I miss this post?

Car looks awesome! I love the later model Cudas almost as much as the 70-71s. I have a burnt orange Challenger waiting for my attention and every time I see a car like yours looking good, I ask myself why I'm considering any other color.

I'd love to see it at the Fall Fling this October! I'll have my Barracuda there for the first time.

Car looks great and has inspired me as Im just starting work on My 72 Cuda I picked up Monday.

Can you tell me where you sourced your front chin spoiler? I cant seem to find one that goes across the whole valance length.

Mine is a MAS spoiler which is a company that went out of business in 2005ish.  I had a fiberglass guy custom work it over then had it wrapped in black.  Long story short, lots of money and basically impossible to find.

https://www.spoilersbyrandy.com/70-72-74-barracuda  sells a metal one, but I didnt like how it didnt look flush on the ends, but people say its a nice durable piece and thats the best advice I can give you.

@nsmall I can't believe that I somehow missed this amazing post. You have definitely paid respects to some great and helpful people in this group. Many that have helped me tremendously. I personally met @Cuda Cody at the 2017 Nats in Carlisle after his work on this group reignited a sleeping passion in me. I had owned (and worked extensively upon) 7 E-Bodies until 1987 when life took over and I left the hobby, yet it never left me. I also bought a 73 Barracuda project from a coworker in 2016 after joining this group. I sold it (after completing most of the sheet metal work) after finding my 70 Challenger RT 440 project in June of 2018 and am currently working on its completion. I'm hoping to have it done next summer. You inspire me with your story and it goes deeper than a your amazing job on that car.  A child with autism, two little ones, foster kids you're a hero to, attempting adoption (sometimes heartbreakingly stressful to navigate). You sir, aren't just a restorer of beautiful cars, you restore lives of children.  This is a statement of who you are. I deeply admire you on all levels.  You sir, inspire me to the core.  Thank you!

Kevin

Wow Kevin, thanks for encouragement.  Your ride is looking sweet and sexy in its current state.  I really appreciate all of your kind words and looking back on it, I have no idea how I pulled it off.  Wishing you the best on your build.  I remember spending time on ebodies.org when I "supposed" to be in garage at night as I found so much inspiration in following other member builds.   :bradsthumb:

@revere your parts source is right here in this group. @MoparDave aka David Radcliffe. He's the one that can make it all happen, typically for the best price. I've ordered a lot from him.

Just read this post. You did it five times faster than me and I did not need to do body work and paint. Amazing to say the least. Now the car is waiting for you to pull the trigger on the 408.
