I'm guessing a metal hood spring would be overkill for the fiberglass unit.
What are you running for a springs?

I'm going to complicate my life by adding an AAR Cuda hood.  :)

Does anyone know what the pull strength these are?

When I bought the Charger it had a fibreglass hood and I went back to the original hood. The hood springs were lighter but I don't know if the both cars would use the same spring. Hinges could be different. I'll sell them cheap if they will work for you.

How much are you looking to get for them?
Got any pictures?

I'll get you pictures and measurements later on Saturday.

From Roseville Moparts website. Why they say there's a difference???. Maybe a typo, I'm guessing the shorter one is suppose to be for steel hoods. The one on my rallye hood is about that length.

The Challenger hood is longer and a tad heavier than the AAR, so it may need the few extra coils of the spring.

You're probably right, my 1970 hood hinge springs have only 23 coils, compared to those two. I should have counted that first before guessing.

@FSHTAIL  Sorry, I forgot to get pics when I was home on Saturday. I'll be home again tomorrow. Hopefully I'll remember.

@FSHTAIL the springs are only 7/8" diameter so certainly not stock ones.

They look a lot like hardware store springs.
Were you ever able to use them and it held the hood open?

Yes. That is the hood/spring set that was on the car when I bought it. It had the fibreglass 6pak hood on at the time. It worked well, I never had any trouble with holding the hood open. I had that hood on for two or three years before I went back to the original hood. I suppose if they were painted body colour they would blend in better and be less noticeable.
