New AMD Dutchman panel is 1/8" shorter than original. I've heard it's common. Any hints as to a remedy? Quarters (new AMD) are tweaked and fitted and clamped in place using pre aligned doors, fenders, trunk lid. I could maybe pull quarters inward 1/16" each to eliminate the gap. I have original rear glass for final verification. Hints?

Pulling the quarters in might make your trunk gap a bit tight, if they are good I would do it but if they are tight I would hammer and dolly the dutchman panel to "move" the edges out a 1/16" on both sides.

I'll be in the same boat too, soon. If it comes to it, I'll add 16 gauge extension to the panel on both sides, and call it a day. Seal the valley with silicon bronze. Yeah that is what happens when you let a mechanic do body work.  :)

Adding a 1/16" to each side and grinding a matching radius has indeed crossed my mind. Perhaps even cutting the perfectly good end flanges from the original.

That might be too thin, about 18 gauge, but worth a try. 16 gauge is about 10 thou thinner then 16th. Try it and see how it fits. You can build up the crown from silicon bronze, lower heat and easier to contour. I have seen some guys just fill the valley and cover the seams completely to avoid water intrusion.
