For a true "professional" restoration shop, AMD has been a blessing, can't be afraid to cut, weld and bump around the metal.  You can't be afraid to make sparks and weld to make the metal fit perfect.

Do I need to use seam sealer on the convertible wheelhouse top patch before I put the quarter on?
I don't remember if the top patch panel had seam sealer or not. The back of the wheelhouse did, but I can access that afterwards.
Any seam sealer inside where the quarter window is?

I know I should have done that before the black, if needed, but I can always seam seal and add some more paint.

They actually make and push a bare metal 2 part seam sealer for faster production. With that said I have seen cars come back through the shop and the cars it was used on have been mixed on the durability. It's exactly what you think would happen, happens. Moisture starts creeping under the edges of it. We stopped using it and went with primer first and then the conventional 2 part seam sealer.

Can I apply seam sealer and not paint over it?
Since I already painted the rear end of the wheelhouse. I got 3M black seam sealer.

Can you describe what you mean here? I'm going to need to know at some point and I can't picture it.

I believe he means from the wheelside, underside. Thats how I read it.
