Got wax on my Challenger Hood blackout. Maybe it's already too late, but anyone have advice for removing the wax without damaging the stripe?

What, if any, protectant or treatments do you all use for the vinyl stripes?

Thanks

Maybe Grease and Wax remover, The stuff that is used as paint prep.  :alan2cents:

I would start with a washing soap that has some elevated level of pH to try to remove what coating is on there.

They do make "matte" dressings that I find work pretty well. I believe mine might be from Chemical Guys, through amazon.

Is there any kind of wax that won't damage a billboard ? Or if wax touches any of the graphics you are screwed?

Not kidding...these work great on removing wax residue from rubber and plastic trim pieces next to the waxed surfaces. I assume they would work on stripes. Worth a try before using any chemicals.

I use Jax wax and have no problem waxing over my hockey sticks.
