Can someone please help me with where these go?  70 Challenger RT/SE
I bought the car 27 years ago disassembled

Dakota

Those look like the brackets between the core support and headlight buckets.   Those look to be in rough shape.

Bobbydodge

Thanks, but I have those. here is a side by side

Dakota

Sorry - "swing and a miss".   Next batter with a more accurate guess?

Any chance it's a Shaker car ?

Well you got me stumped, I just went through the service manual, parts books etc...for 1970 Challenger and came up empty....I would say in my opinion, it's not a 70 Challenger part, but I've been wrong in the past and that seems to upset people  :headbang:  The only thing I can think of that is close are the brackets welded to a shaker base to mount the "feet" on a 440, but I don't think that's what they are...

I still have never come across those before   I just looked again and they're not shown in the original 70 Challenger service manual I have  :dunno:

I couldn't agree more Alan.I love this group as well.y'all have bailed me out many times.
They do look like the same part if you take into consideration that the nutplate is missing on the one in the link you shared, and the holes in my parts are ripped out to look like open ended slots.
Thanks to all for the help.thats been kicking my butt for a while.

Dang! I knew that one too. Just figured it out on my friends challenger two weeks ago.  Not a common part for sure

You guys have me curious now. Gonna check my 11/4/69. I don't recall anything like this either.
