I'm looking for a car cover for my 73 challenger. I don't need or want anything crazy expensive, custom fit, etc etc. Just looking for something to cover her up when in the garage, I'm constantly cleaning saw dust off from house projects and trying to avoid a bit of that.

I have bought 4 superweave car covers from California Car Cover and love them.  Yes they are more expensive than your basic cover from the local parts store, but they are high quality.

Hey I gotta car cover question - can you WASH a car cover?  I have one that sat in a corner for years and it's just dusty and dirty - can I run it through a washing machine or something?

Yes, I checked with Cal Car Cover.  Wash warm water with 1/4 cup of Simple Green and an extra rise cycle.  You can hang to dry or run it through the dryer on delicate cycle.

I use RainX XL for ours for in the garage.  It's medium price but made decent, won't scratch, etc

Oldschool

I researched car covers for a while and I decided on this one. I just took delivery about 2 weeks ago and it seems very good. The fit and quality are excellent. The price was reasonable too. As someone said above - it costs a little more than they do at parts places, but the quality is light years better.

I can say that Calcovers are the best but if you use one for outdoors (yep even the ones made for outdoors) they won't last forever. I have one that is threadbare and coming through on sharp edges but they did outlast my others by a long shot. The other upside is they can be washed at the laundry mat using the large washers (simple green mentioned above) and hand dry.

The one I have for outdoors now is a project car I didn't want even more folks doing drive by's asking if it's for sale.
