My 71 Challenger tail light panel is in excellent restorable condition minus one bent mounting "boss". This is the corner where there is not an actual mounting screw located, but it only spaces the panel from the sheet metal. Obviously this was bent quickly at one point in its history. Any help or ideas on how to bend this straight without breaking it? I'm thinking this is cast metal? Do I bend this slowly, quickly, with heat or other suggestions. I really want to save this without welding if possible.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks, Wes

I've NEVER tried it, but my first idea would be heat..... :alan2cents:

That's sort of what I was thinking too. Amazing it bent without cracks originally. I thought you would have done one of these for sure Alan!

Is this cast aluminum or pot metal?
