Anyone have a photo of the narrow metal trim strip that goes behind the rear bumper up by where the tail panel meets the trunk floor. Not sure if the lip of it gets sandwiched in as everything welds together or attached afterward. Is it welded in or glued?

Screwed in. I can get you photos tomorrow if nobody else has them.

Okay, screwed in makes sense. I kept the old one and I noticed the holes along the edge. There is also a ton of old sealer. I assume it gets installed later? I'd hate to assemble the whole rear end and learn it somehow get welded in between the tail panel and trunk floor.

A photo would be great but no hurry.

I just painted and installed mine couldn't find the original rusty screws and found fuel filler screws worked good. I will try to post a pic

Thanks for the photos. I'm hoping to do more tail panel fitting this weekend.

I spent a couple hours on body work straightening the metal to get it nice only to realize the majority doesn't show after the bumper is on. But what wtf good is good

Your welcome . FYI  it wont just lay in there you have to use a gentle force to get the screw holes to line up.
