Anyone used the repro top well moldings for challenger / barracuda? How doi They fit?
Thanx. John

I was thinking there was a thread on that several months back or it was mentioned in a thread. Sorry I know that doesn't answer your question but  I'm sure someone has discussed that. Are you missing some or just not happy with the quality of yours?

I do have the originals. But someone drilled a bunc of holes in them to use buttons insted of clips on the top boot

I've used them and they fit fine. I was told the reproductions were made of thinner material then the originals but I didn't really notice. I have a garage so I only mess with my top once in the Spring and once in the Fall.

My original well trim had been drilled and screws installed by the original owner.  When I asked him why he did that he indicated he was concerned that the boot clips would pull off the trim.  He wasn't aware that the side well trim is attached via clips by screws on the underside.  I searched for originals for some time.  I never found a decent set for under $600 and they still needed to be polished.  I finally settled for a repro set.  Paid around $300 including clips.  They had a tag indicating made in Taiwan.  I had low expectations regarding fit.  I was pleasantly surprised.  The trim had excellent finish and prior to installation matched up to the original trim.  Fit was excellent once installed.  One finding was that the repro clips had a very thin wall around the screw hole.  During installation of the screw I cracked three clips.  I was able to reuse all but two of my original clips.  Save and reuse your original clips if possible.  My chrome end caps also had holes drilled by the original owner.  Therefore, these could not be reused.  I bought repros on eBay.  These were $120 a set.  These came from China.  Even the part numbers were copied on the back.  However, these did not fit very well.  Where they engaged the new stainless trim there was a slight angular mismatch where they interfaced with the new trim.  I confirmed that this wasn't present with my original end caps.  I've since bought original end caps that require re-chrome.  I checked with several chrome plater's but they want $100 each.  They are thin-walled die castings and plater's hate re-plating these.  Overall, I'm very happy with the fit and finish of the repro trim.  Happy to send you pics if needed.  Hope this helps.
