I must be doing something wrong! I drive mine hard, and the countless customers i have repaired the cars and trucks for over the years do as well. And unless the hinge wore they shut the way they should for the long run. When they leave the assembly line the doors don't sag a month later.  :alan2cents:

After all the fine tuning....drive it about 1000miles and see if things start to settle...you'd be surprised how much things can move around.

Really? Wow, I don't think so. :stop:  In my limited experience, if the doors are hung "properly" with the proper metal/body work and completely assembled with glass and the rubber installed, it's not going to move or so called "settle".  The only "settling" that might happen, is the door rubber "settling" tighter to the body over time, never up or down.  If you close the door and you see it rise up the striker, like Erik's purple convertible did by over 3/16", the door needs to be raised with the upper hinge at the body bolts.  You should never see the door ride up or down when it's closed if you know what you're doing. :ohyeah:

I spent yesterday aligning the doors to the quarter panels and they look good. I also aligned the front fenders to the hood and the doors and they look good. I left all the old seals on the doors and made sure the doors latched properly and now I'll remove all the old seals and finish paint prep. This Charger will be a driver, not a show car. I've always liked the sleek lines of the 3rd generation Chargers and it's a very comfortable car to drive on long trips compared to my Challengers, now that I'm much older. Thanks.

I'm glad you got it all sorted out. I like those Chargers too, they don't get a lot of love, but they have a very unique appeal.
