Fuel tank j bolts

For a 71 cuda has new Amd trunk floor and I'm going to put the gas tank in this is this the correct
Angle of the bolts? It seems out of wack. Thinking I might have to grind the bracket as I rember
The bolts should come straight down? What is the fix here?

Just bend them straighter, once you get the nut started, tightening them up will put them where they need to go

Look at the angle of the face that the bolt is perpendicular to, it's on about a 45' and will never be straight up and down. Like Alan says, put the tank and straps in, start the bolt and tighten them up.
