Are the headlight adjusters for a '70-'71 different from '72-'74?
I have loads of '73 hardware. Do I need to buy '70-'71 hardware for '70-'71 fenders?

Yes they are different . . . I believe they changed from '71 to '72.

Maybe '68 - '71 and '72 - '78?  :dunno:

Hey thanks Claudia. Just today I went and looked at some '70 stuff and compared with my '73 stuff. Found out, as you said they are different. BUT, they are  completely interchangeable. So my '73 stuff fits the 70 brackets.

Makes sense as the 72 up had the headlights mounted into the plastic grille not the metal buckets used in 70-71

dodj

'72 up had a cast base that the adjusters attached to and that base attached to the 'glass header panel.

Just did this same thing in the last week. The 72 and newer work just fine on the 70 fenders.
