Hood wedges

This is a serious question. Does it look like I have the hood wedge pointing in the right direction?

As for Fasteners the best thing I could find was the screws.

I'm assuming it be better if I could find a screw that had a flat edge where it mounts to the hood wedges?  The screws taper before the thread.

The wedges should be oriented this way while standing in front of the car.    \ engine /

The screws are a standard Philips with a flat head.(no taper under the head...easily found at a hardware store)

New hood wedges are reproduced if yours are old and brittle.
