inner fender braces

    should these fender braces have bends in them? It looks like this front end took a good hit. The frame rail has holes drilled in it and the lower braces have been cut.What do you folks think?

Looks 100% factory correct to me.  Those are not bent, they are stamped like that.  :alan2cents:  The holes in the frame are for the clips that hold on the access cover.

        Why in the world would they have cut the lower rear braces? No problem welding them back together but, Why?

I have to look at some photos, but I think I've seen the factory do that before.  Don't quote me yet...

That brace was not cut on my car, but not welded to the framerail at the bottom, just hanging loose. Hamtrack also.

Can't find the photo I thought I had.  Sorry.  But I bet we would all be surprised if we knew all the stuff the factory did to these cars new.

the oval opening where the clutch cross shaft sits should not be cut through on the inner fender  but otherwise everything looks right to me
