I resanded from 1000-3000 and rebuffed an area.  There is still a few here and there but it's at a livable acceptance for me.  Updated picture included

Thank you everyone for the suggestions and support.  The car was ready for paint in 2018 and I've been avoiding it since, mainly due to lack of confidence to produce a livable finish.   It won't be perfect but it's closer to being back on the road.

"Re-melt the primer..."?  Whaaaa?  Can you explain this?  How does paint / clear melt the primer that's underneath?  That's possible?

I've got spots like this on my car too.  They annoy me if I let them.  I didn't think there was any way to get them out but it looks like A. Gramz did.  Go Gramz!  Looks good.  Gives me hope.
