I am currently trying to adjust my door windows thanks to the previous articles I have read. The issue I have run into is a screw is catching on the from bump stop and I am thinking im missing something of that part was put on wrong. I have only had the car a week and have many small things I am trying to correct.

The plastic up stop is in the glass backwards on the wrong side of the window.

Thanks Alan, I was thinking that might be the issue. Wanted to check before I when trough the hassle of taking it apart to correct it.

Also found a spot where it looks like a bolt is. Missing.  In my he center top of the door.

The door glass guide goes there. It has the fuzzy that rides against the glass.

I figured that out after I took the panel off the drivers door. Just have to figure out where I can find a replacement part as well as another molding piece I noticed was missing in the door jam by the rear side window passenger side.

Was able to get the bump stops off and put back on properly without have to take the window out, but know without a lot of cursing lol

I've always wonder if those were needed. There is felt holding the window from moving around. Would it break without these?most scratches come from the guides

Wondered same thing, my glass has a huge gouge in it from wear because it was rolled up and down over the years hitting the metal bracket after the felt or whatever it is was gone.

After discovering a missing guide on one door window and the fact the the bump stops on the the glass where on backwards I decided to check the quarter glass. is there supposed to be those fuzzy guides and are the bump stops backwards on these too?

anlauto

No fuzzy guides on the rear glass but you are missing the up stops, likely missing from day one :alan2cents:

So what would happen. If you didnt use the felt guides?

anlauto

The window would likely rattle  :dunno:
