Silly question. I've wanted a T/A forever and have toyed with the idea of making my Challenger a T/A clone, but have decided a long time ago not to. But, I Have thought about getting the hood. My question is, how do you paint them, if you were to do so. The scoop is 1" ( or is it 2") off the hood, Seems like it would be a pain to get up under the scoop. Not sure if the original were painted or if it was molded that color, but I've seen some others that were white or something. Just curious.

I've had mine for 13-14 years now. It is molded in white unfortunately. The painter was able to get paint under the scoop with no problems. There was a company molding them in black some years ago but have  closed up shop. It make so much sense to mold them in black, if someone were to mold them in black I likely would buy one as stone chips will show. Mind you it has not been a problem much so far with the one I have.
Biggest problem you will have is finding the washer squirters as they are now non- existent.

I had mine painted recently and the biggest challenge wasn't how it's painted but finding original Organisol!  Cody has a god video on here about how to paint the Organisol on a hood.
Contrary to the opinions of some, I am not dumber than I look.
