Please indicate the date code of the attached image of a PPG Herculite soft top rear glass.  I believe it is the 26 4 numbers.  Is it 1974?  I suspect it is a replacement.
thanks

My guess would be the 26th week or 1974 or 1984.   :notsure:

the 26 is the plant = Crestline, OH
the "4" should be the date, but it is usually month  & year

I don't believe "DOT 18" was used in the '70-'71 timeframe  :dunno:

@cudaized probably has this figured out

I just looked at mine and it's laid out a bit different. My code is 2610.  The car is November '69 SBD. 1st month of '70 or '80 would be too late for my build.

maybe the convertible top glass logo didn't include the year   :dunno: at least in that position

then the OP's "4" is April - @schlett7nu1  is this in a car you own & if so, when was it built month & year

& @JH27N0B your "10" would be October with no year indicated but it would work for a November '69 built car, got a pic?

Glass is in my May 5th 1970 built convertible.  I have reason to believe the top was replaced around 1992.  If so, perhaps the rear glass was replaced as well.  I've seen other references that suggest the DOT 18 didn't show up until 1972 and later.  If the glass is not correct I'll look for an original.  I've seen a few originals that claim to be dated November 69.  I need to be better educated on what I have and what I need to search for.

Makes sense...typically when the top is replaced, so is the rear glass. :alan2cents:

Attached is a pic of a rear convertible glass currently for sale.  The seller indicates the date is 9L.  It shows up double due to a photographic reflection.  He indicates this is November 1969.

Here's mine.  No pentastar either, so I doubt it's the original.

According to ECS, who sells licensed dated glass for Mopars, all original glass had a Pentastar logo.  If accurate, my glass is repro.
