Would anyone happen to know what attaches to the studs on the Rallye vents to hold them in place on the fender on the 72-74 Challengers

It's been alot of years since I had a 72-74 Challenger Rally but I seem to remember they had thread-cutting PAL nuts.

Acorn nuts, similar to the ones that hold the back brackets onto '70 -'71 Cuda side marker lights.

I would guess nuts  :dunno:

No kidding 🙄. What kind though with the type of studs.

Acorn nuts, or any type of self cutting nut will work  :alan2cents:

A buddy removed those from his car and ones in my picture were there.
I can take a pic with a tape measure if you want.

Hmmm, I do have a ton from when I reinstalled my dash pad to the frame.

I salvaged some for my marker light brackets.
PS- that's a 7/16 hex

Just make sure it's the tall acorn nut. Mopar also used a short one. Here's the tall one on a louver I have . A Palnut will also work in other photo..

Awesome! Thank you everyone! I'll properly end up going the PAL nut route.

You will NOT find a source for the correct Acorn nuts....if you do please share....The self cutting version has been made of unobtanium for a long time. :alan2cents:  Same ones used on 70-71 Cuda side markers, 71 Cuda fender louvers, etc...

That definitely helps me narrow my search then. Thanks Alan and everyone who chimed in with their knowledge, for clarifying more than just nuts haha!
