Rear Window Install

After installing a new vinyl top its time to reinstall the original rear window in the 1970 coupe. We noticed the pinch weld channel is NOT the same depth on the bottom as on the top? How is this addressed when ordering the correct size bytl tape?

I've used 5/16 on all the E bodies I've done.
