Here's the web site aarcudahood.com  Pretty impressive. Would be an inspiration if other vendors built stuff like this!

QuoteI know there are many an opinion on this, but my personal opinion is that an AAR needs the mild bow to be an AAR. Adds character, and to those that are looking for that factory look, correctness.

:iagree: 1000% :drinkingbud:

Well then I suck, I'm getting ready for paint my black 4 speed right now, I sliced the bottom structure of my original hood and re-glassed it so it does match the fenders.  I did the same on my pink T/A

Well FWIW I'd do the same thing... Just cause the factory thought it was good enough doesn't mean it is... I like my stuff better than OE...

No hurt in "over-restoring" a car if that's the outcome you're looking for :alan2cents:

IRON MAN

1973-1987 GM pick up trucks had a similar problem with the hoods bending and even kinking, when closing the hood. To prevent this from eventually happening required lubing the hinges every oil change. The hoods were designed to crumple in the event of a head-on collision and not go through the windshield and decapitate the occupants. Several truck vendors sell a hood brace kit to prevent this from happening. Its a cheap quick fix. A wise man will just remember to lube the hinges with every oil change and not let them get dry and stiff. Once the hood gets a kink in it, it is near impossible to fix. However bends can be fixed with the hood brace kit.

I think I know why aarcudahood.com went out of business.  [emoji6][emoji6]

I know...    longer/stronger typo.
