Sagging Doors

Hi everybody ! Mopar only Door Hinge Rebuilding has been my business online since 1999. I use all current USA made parts. No import or repro stuff. ALL moving/wear parts are replaced Including reamed to fit, custom oversized lower hinge pivot pins(no bushing!) Upper pins, bushings, where they were original. New door check pins and wave washers. New pivot springs, all threads cleaned up with a thread chasing die. Bead blasted, primed with automotive primer, pre-lubed and assembled ready to scuff and paint. Write up in the August Mopar Muscle by Bob Mehlhoff. Did the hinges on his 64 Savoy. I am always at the CPW " Fall Fling" and "Spring Fling" in Van Nuys.  Known in the hobby as the "hinge guy". Where were you a month ago?  I just dropped two and a half on a replacement set on a mostly original RT. It pained me to set the originals on a shelf. What would you have changed?

Every thing shown on the picture. I just use your old hinge bodies. Everything else gets replaced. Just like new function, ready to go. I am on all of the Mopar sites, I just don't have the time to check on all of them. Always here and I need good used, cores. I buy if you can find them for me.  I always need E-body cores. Never too many. Not very many good ones out there. Usually very rusty and/or excessively worn. I don't rebuild junk cores.  The Fall Fling is coming up real soon, get your orders in now for show deliveries.  Under the Big, Black Mopar tent.

To everybody out there, "There is NO factory Rebuild kit" Never has been, never will be. Just people putting together pins and bushings in a bag and then leaving it for you to figure out what to do next. usually after you ruin your hinge cores by drilling the lowers to fit a bushing that was never supposed to go here. Don't fall for this long running scam. There is only one correct way to do it. Oversized pins on the lowers. But you need to know what size and  then have the correct drills and reamers.

I have the proper equipment AND the knowledge to do them correctly. Thanks to all of the guys that know my work.

I'm not recommending one option over another, but maybe not everyone is aware of all their options.  RestoRick sells a door hinge rebuild kit that is not one of the cheap ones that uses bushings.  It also comes with directions and he will also sell you the needed reamer, if you want it.

I have one of these sitting on my parts shelf, but haven't gotten around to using it yet so I can't offer any input on real world experience. :alan2cents:

I agree, that is definitely a step up. If your pin hole will cleanup with a .375 pin. Won't know until you measure and drill it though. I only do  "complete rebuilds" RestoRick mentions about grooves in the springs. This is caused by frozen door checks. Only proper way to address this problem is to remove the door checks and replace the door check pins and wave springs. These are also included in my rebuild. I would recommend his kit as a base if your hinges are in excellent condition and just have some movement in the lower pin fit. But usually by the time that happens, everything else is worn too. But I really understand that a lot of guys just want to "get by" for now. Usually doesn't work out that way though.
