What's this electrical thing on my inner fender?

Just got the car and this relay looking thing is disconnected. The red plug is disconnected. Additionally there is a single spade plug next to it also disconnected. And on the left of the picture, you can see an additional single black plug not connected to anything.  Does anyone know what these are for?
Thanks!

Posted this in the wrong spot. If a moderator can move it, I'd appreciate that!

The thing is a starter interlock... It wouldn't allow the engine to start unless the seat belts were buckled.... Your car is a 73? Or 74?

Thank you! That can stay unplugged then lol
Do you know if the single black spade connectors are part of that system too? My electrical diagram thing i ordered won't be here til next week. :-(

Hey! yep it is the interlock system. If you feel confident about car electricity, just remove it completly. I did it some months ago. You will just have to follow the cables and cut them for most of them.

This system is junk and could lead to possible problems in the future.

CU-DUH!

i found this same thing on my 74, does anyone make a replacement? I can bypass, but wondering if i should
